Andrew Griffith’s Fire Party

On August 21 st, 2010, a social gathering - White Division style, was held in the honor of Andy Griffith and his family and his neighbors Phil Gratton and Michelle MacFarlane.
I am proud to announce that $7,330 ($3,665 per family) was raised. The events initial intention was to be a social gathering/support for the two families, but direction quickly took it into a much larger event and inviting the neighbors as well. A great suggestion made by Jeff Baker
The night displayed the values of the BOHC and many of the volunteers who were instrumental to pull this off.
Ticket Sellers: Gill Verway, Burt MacDowell, Mike Wilson,Jeff Baker,and of course Hector's.
Door Attendants : Steve Gallagher (and guest), Don Hull, Paul Wybrow
Prize donations by old-timers were unbelievable...from Rob Landry, Ian Hamilton, Gill Verway, Jamie Edwards, Bruce Marsh,Vince McDonald,Paul Wybrow...I know I can go on and on...Thanks to all not mentioned.

Music provided by : Mike Plewis and Randy Faschinato and the band who supplied services at no charge (if you can call a bar tab no charge)
Paul Gentle did an outstanding job as MC.
A special thank you to Rick Bell and his team at Maitre"D Catering. Rick provided the food at his cost and hall was donated by him to hold the event. It could not have happened without his generous donation.
Lastly, A special thank you to Ian Hamilton and Rob Landry. They were the drivers to get things done. Without hesitation, they stepped up each and every time something needed to be done. I can't say enough about the job they did. Truly great guys !
I hope I didn't forget anyone, I do apologize in advance.
It times like this we can all feel proud of BOHC,it's values, it's members
