Red Division

We have passed the first third of the season & there has been more player movement. Andrew Charvet replaced Scott Dyker on White, Greg Sampson replaced Mike Bryan & Dan Young replaced Rick Hiebert on Red, Mark Doogan replaced Warren Smith on Blue, Andy Meaning replaced Greg Mackie & Duane Kinden replaced Gary Brewer on Green. Welcome to all the new players. So far this season we have replaced 9 full time players with only the Black team remaining unchanged since opening day.

The Green Machine, led by Capt. T, has quietly snuck into first place as Dave Whittles Teal Ice Sharks have cooled off a bit. Brian Smith & his fellow Blues Brothers continue their steady play while Jim Winters rejuvenated Red Devils are challenging Clayton Smiths Black Cloud for fourth place. Currently, Greg Anger & his White Lightning have a solid grip on next years first overall draft pick but I expect these sand-baggers to be making their move shortly.

It was nice to see Paul Legaults picture in the paper recently having his legs waxed for charity. (He also thought this would improve his aerodynamics & increase his speed but we havent seen any evidence of this.) Rumour has it that he makes his teammates rub his smooth legs for luck before each game which could explain the sharp increase in trade requests Ive had recently. This suddenly occurred to me; Paul Legault & Guy Carbonneau, separated at birth? Discuss it among yourselves.

Thanks again to Kevin Whittall for his tireless work managing the pool players and Tim Canham for keeping the standings & stats up to date.

I would like to thank everyone for their gentlemanly play so far this year. We havent had a single discipline problem, keep up the good play. Mike Veerman & all the referees have done a great job calling the games with consistency.

Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Remember, drive to arrive alive, we want to see everyone back for 2008.
