Playoffs Are Coming

As the regular season winds down it looks like Blue has a firm grip on first place with Teal, Green and White trying to close the gap with the remaining games leading into the playoffs. Black and Red continue to battle it out for the coveted sixth playoff spot.
Injuries continue to plague our division making our pool convenor, Kevin Whittall, the busiest man in oldtimers hockey. We’ve replaced so many players that we have almost iced a seventh team. This has really depleted our pool.
Registration for next year is coming soon. There will be four opportunities to sign up; March 16,25,26,30 at the club. Your captain has all the details. I encourage all pool players to sign up as full time players for next season as we were short players this season. You can register for summer hockey on the same dates. YOU MUST REGISTER IN PERSON.
For all you guys who have all the answers and advise, we are looking for three new captains for next season. Here is your chance to show your leadership skills. This league runs on the backs of its volunteers. Contact me, Tim Canham or your captain if you are interested in stepping up.
I would like to thank Brian Smith, Dave Whittle and Terry Thorpe for thier dedication and cooperation over the last two years as captains. You guys make being a convenor easy.
With the playoffs almost here I would like to remind everyone to play hard but play clean. Our league is about fun and friendship, winning is secondary. See you all on the ice.
