Here We Go Again!

Welcome to another season of BOHC Fun! I use the word “fun” because the BOHC is more than just hockey and a lot of the fun occurs off the ice (and it started early this year with the team names). I encourage everyone to get involved and volunteer a few hours of your time. We can always use an extra pair of hands and some new ideas. It helps the club as well as the community.
As we get ready to hit the ice please check your equipment to make sure everything is in good shape (something on the ice needs to be). Wipe the rust off those blades and check the edges but be careful, I sharpened my skates once but it was scary fast so I’m never doing that again.
I’m happy to report that we have the same “management team” back for another year. Kevin Whittall is the pool manager with Tim Canham and myself as convenors. Thanks also to our captains (babysitters?); Jim Winter, Dave McKissock, Glen Cameron, Brad Hilson, Greg Anger and Jeff Davis. Good luck!
I’m setting the same goal as last year for everyone; keeping the convenor’s paperwork to a minimum. We achieved that goal last season and I challenge all of you to continue your safe and fair play throughout this season too.
