Red Division

Ho Ho Ho

Hi everyone

The division seems pretty competitive with the exception of some token stinkers along the way. Teal is still lighting it up and has a very impressive record. We have teams from 2^nd to 5^th place within 5 points of each other and Red could be in the mix with a few more coulda woulda shoulda’s. Speaking of Red, it would appear as though they are going for the record for the most ties in a season leading one to believe that they can get a lead but just cannot hold onto a lead. Projecting out over 49 games they should end the season with 19.05 ties and winning the 50^th game of the season. No I would not say I am biased either.

Unfortunately I have to be the bearer of bad news. Our very own and esteemed colleague Peter Greig, who just so happens to be the VP of all things Membership, has come down with an injury. What at first looked like he was doing his own version of a snow angel on the ice, turns out he was in a significant amount of pain due to a recently diagnosed torn hamstring. By the way, for those that are interested he did make the save which was quite brilliant I might add. He will now be out 6 to 8 weeks. We are now looking for someone to wear the Santa hat during the Christmas season games in lieu of Pete so someone please step up and assume the role. Heal quickly Pete, Red needs you back real soon.

I have to give credit to the captains as we have not had any issues at all and everyone is enjoying the hockey. A big thanks has to go out to Kevin as well for continuing to work the pool effortlessly.

We are missing the services of six players, 5 due to injury; 2 prior to the season, 3 during the season (2 hockey related) and 1 player, Turbo, who is moving to B.C. Good luck Turbo we will miss you and come back soon.
