Blog according to Steve
Black
Captain Dave has his speedy team in fine form for the playoffs. Hot goaltending and solid defensive play makes this group a threat. Nifty Sid is back on track making opposing goaltenders look bad.
Green
Dave, Mr.Butt-End, Whyte has again shown his mastery of sandbagging getting post trade deadline deals to improve his team. Todd will be high on the ranking for rookie of the year in this division and has provided solid goaltending throughout the season. Rod stepped into the back up goaltending role in case of emergency.
White
Captain Bill has built a team based on size. At the start of the year he had four defencemen that combined for over 1000 lbs of pure stopping power. It appears Bill tried to build his team around the hopes of a number one future draft choice but will still be in the playoffs. This team will be the dark horse of the division.
Blue
Rookie Captain John has the Blue team on fire going into the playoffs. I am not sure what he has done but since moving himself from D to forward the goals against record has greatly improved. This team is well balanced and a real threat for the title.
Teal
Doug Mclean has the class of the league going wire to wire. This team has surprising speed (especially when Doug is on the Bench). It will be interesting to see if they can continue the trend through the playoffs.
Red
Rookie Captain Steve has introduced the now popular pink sock system. They are awarded to the player that displayed the most inept play of the game. Rookie Corey Trodd is looking at becoming permanent owner of the coveted award after skating into his own net during a power play forcing a face off in our end.
