Happy New Year!

Just a quick update to close off 2010. Since the start of the season we have added several full time players replacing people that have had to drop out for any number of reasons. We have added Terry Wardrop, Brian Elliot, Rocco DeVito, Bill Szeverenyi, Dave Confozi, Gary Hirst, and Paul Munzar. Several people are recuperation from various injuries and aliments; we hope to see them back as soon as possible.

We have refrained from making trades in consultation with the Captains, There is a significant delta between the first and last place team, we may make a move or two, but, only as a last resort and at the request of the captains. For now it’s our understanding that we have 6 compatible teams all looking for their breakout opportunity.

Coming up in February 23-27 is the 35th Annual BOHC Invitational Hockey Tournament. We will enter 4 teams from the Gold Division again this year. After a quick poll and collection of names a few weeks ago we have a good number of people that want to play. We have more goalies than openings, so to be fair, we will use seniority to fill all positions until January 18, then on a first come first served basis. Each year it all seems to work out and everybody gets to play. This year the cost is $60 per player, including a raffle ticket. Please Make out cheques to BHOC and give them to Bob Docherty or Ken Layland. Do not drop them at the Club House. We are also looking for 4 captains, for the tournament. Last year a rookie captain almost won the tournament.

Also during the 35th Annual BOHC Invitational Hockey Tournament we are looking for help manning the bar during the tournament, last year we had about 20 people all doing a 4 hour shift or 2. Please See Bob Docherty to volunteer.

Lastly we are looking for a Convener, Co-Convener, Captains, and anybody that can help run the division by volunteering. Many people help such as Don Kay (Pool Convener), JR (keeps the WEB standings up to date), Dave Missons and a team of helpers(Ham and Turkey Draw/Dance), And lets not forget the coaches!
