Blue Division

Gentlemen we are over the half way point in games played and with only 12 points separating the division this is going to be a close race, looks like we all will make the playoffs… Blue has snuck into first place while Teal has promised they will and want there spot back. White has been a steady team that will need some watching come playoffs. Red & Green both real good teams may just be sitting in wait, with Black promising there goalie to score more then 1 per game they also could be contendors… Richard Krummenacher has the lowest goals against and has been a steady piller for Blue. This year has been very competive with most games being tied or a 1 or 2 goal difference, as we head into the next 15 games the play will get even tougher as player’s pick it up a notch. Remember guy’s play hard but play safe. I am really happy with the sportsmanship that has been showen this year, we have had minor infractions but all in all are penalty minutes are down and we have had NO discipline problems. Keep up the good work guy’s it is much appreciated…The league has been taking a more agressive approach with the city to get improved ice and dressing room conditions, so hopefully that will improve. We are always trying at board meetings to put your concerns forward and make sure they are followed up on, if you have issues that you feel will improve are division or league we want to hear from you…We will be looking for 3 new captains for next season, so if you have an interest or need more information give us a call. The Invetional Tournament is fast approaching and we need each team to do a few hours of volunteer work please help when your captains approach… Tim & Lisa Szilagyi have been working on a Hockey Day exclusive for the Blue Division the date is Saturday February 21/09 4 pm to 11:00 located at the club house tickets will be sold next week at $10. so get out and enjoy bring the wife the girlfriend the family or we can possible give you the a package deal if you bring them all…There will be wings & chilli a euchre tournament, door prizes and an extra prize raffle to all that wear an original 6 sweater. Should get a prize if you wear a Leaf shirt…Guy’s have a fun year and thanks again for the on ice sportmanship that you have shown. Many Thanks Roger Starr
