2010/2011 Season

Gentlemen sharpen your skates and re-tape those sticks, hockey season has started.

It is still early, but the Green team has started off the same way it finished last year by scoring lots of goals, prompting their captain, Wade Russell, to proclaim a repeat championship is in cards for his team. I am sure that the other captains will have something to say about that before the season ends.

As you are aware, the creation of the new Black Division resulted in an inordinate number of players changing Divisions. Blue Division welcomes 25 players moving up from Gray Division and 8 new players to the league. With all of the changes, 1010/11 should prove to be an exciting and unpredictable year, one that will certainly result in the need for a few minor player adjustments early to ensure a competitive balance for all teams.

Remember everyone makes the play offs so let’s go out and have fun on the ice and swap some stories back at Hector’s after the game.
