Black Division

December

Well we made it to the Christmas break all in one piece.
We started off the season with a lot of full time player going down with either injury or illness, ( I wish them all a speedy recovery ) four from one team alone, we finally got all the empty spots filled.
Then came the balancing which was a real struggle but thanks to a lot of experienced player's input and watching games we got that task completed with everyone's feelings intact.
The division is tight, a couple points separate second place from last. The Black team seemed to have a firm hold on first place, but I do see a vast improvement in the other teams and I think Team #34 will given a run for their money to close out the season. I'm looking forward to the second half of the season, It should be a tight race to the end.

On another note I am seeing a lot of competitive hockey out there and just want to remind everyone that we are playing for the fun of it and not to get too carried away, myself included.
Captains, keep up the great work you're doing with your teams and continue to remind players that Referees do not change their minds on the way to the penalty box, so when your given a penalty guys go to the box with little said.
I'd like to thank everyone for the help they have given me up to this point. I look forward to the rest of the season working to create a fun and safe environment to play hockey in.

Finally I have met a lot of good people and look forward to meeting more. This is my first time playing full time hockey in 20 years and its been a lot of fun, this division is great!!

Cheers and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.
